Friend, being a kid shouldn't feel heavy.
Protect their childhood. Before worry becomes the way they see the world.
There is a Queensland child who needs support right now and your generosity can help protect their mental health before struggle becomes their story.
Carter was only ten when the worries started to take over.
Amy knew something was wrong before Carter said a word.
Her once confident, laughing boy had started pulling away. From school, from his family, from the things he used to love. She could see he was carrying something. She just didn't know how heavy it had become.
It had started with friendship problems. Being left out, then picked on. The kind of thing children are often told to brush off.
But Carter couldn't.
The anxiety crept in slowly, then all at once. He stopped talking, stopped laughing, and withdrew into himself in a way that frightened her.
"You can see they're carrying something that's too big for them to deal with alone and you just want to help." — Amy, Carter's mum
That feeling, watching your child disappear into themselves and not knowing how to reach them, is one too many Queensland parents know.
No child should have to carry that alone.
But for Carter, things changed. Because someone showed up in his classroom at exactly the right time.

How your donation helps
$50
Helps us stand beside a child when they're struggling
Queensland kids are carrying worry they don't have words for yet. Your $50 puts a mental health session within reach of one child who wouldn't otherwise have access, giving them the skills to cope before things get harder.
$75
Helps bring mental health programs to more children in a classroom
When one child is struggling, chances are others are too. Your generosity helps fund a session that reaches a group of children together, teaching them to name their feelings, handle conflict, and look out for one another.
$100
Helps a school that can't afford it bring Life Ed to every child
Many Queensland schools, particularly in disadvantaged communities, rely entirely on donations to access mental health programs. Your kindness helps subsidise that access, so more children get the mental health education they need.
Friend, this is the difference supporters like you make for Queensland kids.
"My son met Healthy Harold on his very first day of pre kindy. He has been going through a really awful stage of suddenly hitting, kicking, pinching and occasionally biting. I was very worried about him bringing those behaviors with him, but after the first day and meeting Harold discussing big feelings and how to manage them, we have noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement in those behaviours in the days since. We are both absolutely shocked by the improvement actually and so appreciative."
"My name is Allegra and I am five years old. When Healthy Harold came to my school he taught us how to be kind friends. Healthy Harold taught me that sometimes people feel lonely and we can help by being kind and including them. There was a girl at school who sometimes got cranky at me. One day she told me she didn’t have any friends. That made my heart feel sad for her. So I said, “You can be my friend.” Healthy Harold taught me that being kind and including others can make someone feel happy again. I like helping people feel like they belong at school."
"Since attending Life Ed, I’ve seen a real difference in confidence and awareness. There’s a stronger understanding of personal boundaries and the importance of speaking up if something doesn’t feel right. That’s been one of the most reassuring changes to see. I’ve also noticed more conversations at home about healthy choices — especially around looking after your brain, making smart decisions, and not giving in to peer pressure. The information clearly stuck because it’s being talked about outside the classroom. Most importantly, there’s been more openness about feelings. It’s easier to talk about worries and ask questions, which shows a growing understanding that mental health matters too."
"My son has had some struggles in his early life which has made certain things hard for him confidence wise and how he experiences certain things. He generally seems very excited when talking about healthy eating and identifying how his body reacts in situations, like how he feels when he's nervous, scared or happy; so in all I'd say it has helped him regulate his emotions and better understand his body and how to look after it alot more. He has become very focused on eating healthier foods, he has also expressed interest in exercising alot more which I am thrilled about as it has got him outside and playing more instead of watching YouTube."
