Curious? Here’s Everything You Need to Know

The who, what, why and wow of Healthy Harold’s Hero Hundred.

What is the Hero Hundred?

The Hero Hundred is a fun, feel-good fitness challenge where everyday legends commit to doing 100 squats a day for the month of October, all to raise funds for Life Ed Queensland’s bullying prevention programs.

It’s a chance to stand up (literally!) for a cause that matters, empowering kids across Queensland to feel safe, speak up, and stand strong, before bullying has the chance to takehold and silence them.

Because no child should feel unsafe, unheard or invisible, not at school, not online, not anywhere.

Why Squats?

Because they’re simple, effective, and accessible for almost everyone, no gym required! You can squat anywhere, anytime, and in any outfit. Yes, even in a tutu if that’s your vibe - we're all about respect here :)

How does the fundraising work?

Once you register, you’ll get your own fundraising page. Share it with friends, family, co-workers and followers; they donate, you squat, and together you help stop bullying in its tracks.

Every dollar raised brings evidence-based Life Education programs into more classrooms, reaching more kids with life-changing lessons that help them face and overcome bullying.

What about Facebook Fundraising?

I'm glad you asked :)
When you get to your own fundraising page, you will see an option to create a Facebook Fundraiser. This will prompt you to sign in to Facebook, and everything will be set up for you. The wonders of technology, am I right?

This makes it suuuuper easy to reach out to your network, collect donations and post about your progress through the challenge. Don't worry, all donations you receive on Facebook will be recorded in your fundraising page, and vice versa.

Is there a team option?

Umm... Does Harold have spots? Of course!

Fundraising is THE BEST when you do it with your mates.

You can create or join a team of schoolmates, workplaces, sports clubs, friends or family. Team up to motivate each other, climb the leaderboard, and multiply your impact.

Who else can take part?

Everyone! This is a challenge for all ages and abilities. You can modify your squats to suit your fitness level, and if squats aren’t your thing, just let us know and we’ll help you adapt the challenge to something that works for you. What matters is the impact YOU get to make in the lives of Queensland kids.

What's the Real Impact?

Right now, 1-in-3 Queensland kids are being bullied. Most are suffering in silence; scared, isolated and unsure how to ask for help. Others are begging for help from systems that just don't know how to help.

Some simply can't see a way out, leading to the most devestating consequences.

Your Hero Hundred fundraising powers the programs that give children a voice, build their confidence, and help them feel safe again.

You’re not just doing squats - you’re literally changing lives.

"Since the program he learned practical strategies to overcome bullying. To speak up, and ask for help, we’ve had discussions about different ways that he can stand up for himself. His grades have improved because he’s focusing more. He’s happier and can now focus on the things that matter most to him. - Amy
