I'm fundraising for...

This June, I am lacing up my joggers to take on the Healthy Harold Hundred. I’ve committed to running at least 45km in 30 days...that's 1.5km day!

Bullying and violence is a growing issue for kids – in the playground and online. 1 in 4 Australian children are bullied every few weeks, and 1 in 5 kids experience cyberbullying. Schoolyard bullies are 4 times more likely to abuse their partners later in life.

Please sponsor me today and help Life Education (and of course Healthy Harold!) deliver more respectful relationships programs to kids across Queensland.

Every dollar donated and every kilometre covered will get us one step closer to breaking the cycle of bullying and violence.

My Updates

Thank you everyone!!

Friday 1st Jul
Thank you so much to those who supported, sponsored me and cheered me on! Unfortunately I didn’t reach my running goal due to very being sick the last 5 days of June and needing to stay home.
I had lots of fun having aiming to teach this goal for such a good and important cause and am so happy I reached two of my fundraising goals - the first being $250, the 2nd being $450.
Hoping I’ve helped made a difference. 😊

Thank you!

Wednesday 1st Jun
I'm at the start (1st day) of my fundraiser challenge and I want to say THANK YOU.
My 2nd goal of raising $400 has already been smashed!
Thank you so much for your donations, encouragement and kind words. It means the world to me.

Wowza!!

Monday 30th May
Hi everyone!

Mum has just shown me the wonderful support and sponsorship I've had already! The generosity of my family and friends thus far has been amazing!
Your kind words and support mean so much to me.
My initial target was to raise $250. This goal has already been smashed before I've even started, so I've increased my goal to $400.
I'm so excited for this coming month!

Boys, Bullying and Dancing

Monday 25th Apr
Hi! I'm Malcolm, and I'm 7 years old. I'm excited to be raising funds for vital bullying prevention programs, so all kids can grow up free from the harms of bullying.

Bullying is present almost everywhere, but arguably, male dancers experience some of the most relentless ridicule from the time they are children right through their training years and even into their professional careers.

Dancing is something I love and am very passionate about.
However, being a boy growing up with dancing, I'm becoming more and more aware that bullying is far too often a growing pain of being a male dancer.
I've experienced bullying both at the dance studio and at my Primary school on occasion since I was 5 years old.
Luckily I have a very supportive family and wonderful teachers at my studio (many of who are male) who stop bullying in its tracks.
I'm often the only boy in my dance classes, but I'm lucky to have lots of older males to look up to at my dance school.

I hope that one day, the dance world might get into public schools, especially for younger grades, to show what both men and women do in the dance world—any kind of dance. It would open up kids' eyes and show them there’s no boundaries to what they can like.
It would also be amazing if more parents and teachers encouraged children to be true to themselves, and to enjoy what they love.

My goal is to raise $400, running 45km for the month of June (1.5km a day - given my busy schedule with school and dancing, this is a realistic target).
Every dollar I can raise is a dollar that didn't exist before to help prevent bullying.
Encouragement is just as important to me as donations, but if you are in a position to donate, here is the link:
